Leaders who are conscious

it’s More than
“Conscious Leadership”

This is an important distinction as it points to the leader coming from a place of awareness internally versus adopting external leadership principles. Cofinity helps leaders cultivate consciousness from the inside out, generating awareness of self as a starting place for change.

What is it TO BE Conscious?

To BE conscious is to be aware of the energy beyond what we notice with our five senses. This includes building sensitivity to your own condition and that of others. Being conscious starts from being present in each moment, bringing your full-self to each and every interaction and situation. It’s noticing the invisible momentum or energy behind what we see, recognizing and trusting it, and taking action from what we are sensing. And this extends beyond just the mind.

Here are some signs you are BEing Conscious:

  1. You are Present and use Present-Moment Awareness:

Conscious individuals are often fully engaged and focusing their attention to the current experience: whether it's chopping vegetables, working on a task, showing up for a zoom meeting, a conversation, or simply soaking in a moment of relaxation. They are less likely to be distracted by thoughts about the past or worries about the future.

  2. You take time for Self-Reflection:

Conscious individuals regularly reflect on their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This can happen in a regular meditation practice where stilling the mind can support expanded observation over the multiple things that occur in a day and our interactions with those things. They take time to examine their motives, values, and beliefs, seeking to understand and grow personally and spiritually.

  3. You extend Empathy and Compassion:

Conscious individuals tend to be empathetic and compassionate towards themselves; which is essential to be able to extended compassion to others. They are aware of the feelings and needs of those around them and strive to meet those needs and treat others with kindness, respect, and understanding.

  4. You have an Open Heart + Mind:

Conscious individuals are open to new ideas, perspectives, and experiences. They recognize that their own views and beliefs are not the only valid ones and are willing to consider alternative viewpoints. This principle extends into the work of DEI and supporting historically marginalized groups.

  5. You are Authentic:

Conscious individuals are true to themselves, their values, and live a life on purpose. They live with integrity, expressing their thoughts and feelings honestly and openly, and aligning their actions with their beliefs.

  6. You practice Mindful Decision-Making:

Conscious individuals make decisions from a higher space of awareness where one can see the potential consequences and impact on themselves and others. They are likely to use intention in decision making and less likely to react impulsively or based solely on emotions such as fear and scarcity.

  7. You are Grounded, Connected to Nature and the Universe:

Conscious individuals often feel grounded to the earth and their own body, experiencing a connection to the natural world and the universe as a whole. They may experience awe and wonder at the beauty and complexity of existence, and feel a deep sense of gratitude for life.

Being conscious involves living with awareness, which empowers you to live more 'on purpose' creating a life and work that contains fulfillment and multiple benefits and outcomes.
